National Skills University (NSU) Islamabad has announced multiple project-based career opportunities under the HEC Approved National Research Program for Universities (NRPU) Project (2025–2026). Applications are invited from eligible and motivated candidates for research and project positions.
This is an excellent opportunity for researchers, university students, and IT professionals to work on an HEC-funded project focused on AI-driven skills mapping and employment forecasting in Pakistan.

Bridging TVET to IT Employment: An ANN Guided Skills Mapping, Shortage Forecasting, and Placement Pilot for Pakistan

Available Positions
1. Research Assistant
No. of Positions: 01
Monthly Remuneration:
- Rs. 80,000 – Rs. 100,000 (Lump Sum)
Duration:
- Up to 18 Months
Eligibility
Applicants should possess:
- MS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline from an HEC-recognized university.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Knowledge of Machine Learning, Artificial Neural Networks (ANN), Natural Language Processing (NLP), data analysis, survey design, and report writing.
- Experience in TVET, skills mapping, or employment-related research will be an added advantage.
2. Undergraduate Student
No. of Positions: 02
Monthly Remuneration:
- Rs. 15,000 – Rs. 20,000
Duration:
- Up to 18 Months
Eligibility
Candidates should be enrolled in undergraduate programs at National Skills University Islamabad in:
- Computer Science
- Information Technology
- Cyber Security
- Related disciplines
Applicants should have knowledge of:
- Microsoft Excel
- Google Forms
- Data Collection
- Python
- Web & Mobile Application Development
- ANN Models
- Report Writing
3. Short-Term Project Personnel
No. of Positions: 01
Monthly Remuneration:
- Rs. 20,000
Duration:
- Up to 10 Months
Eligibility
Applicants should have at least 12 years of education and experience in:
- Data collection
- Data entry
- Dashboard or portal support
- Documentation
- Technical reporting
Candidates with practical exposure to IT-related work will be preferred.
